Fukkan has announced that it will be publishing Ryo Takamisaki Rockman Works SSR (Super Special Rare), an assorted collection of the author’s Rockman works. It will include two of Ryo Takamisaki’s manga that were never collected in volumes, the Rockman 11 manga and the famous Shooting Star Rockman 3 manga that has never been reprinted since the 2000’s!
A brand new story will also be included, a continuation of his Rockman EXE manga: Forte: Time of Reunion (フォルテ再会の刻). At 106 pages, he said it’s a story he’s been wanting to realize for several years. The story will have Forte in the spotlight, as he was big player in the manga’s story more than either than the game or anime. Since one of the manga’s chapter is only about 30 pages, this will cover a good chunk of new content!
Ryo Takamisaki Rockman Works SSR will be sold individually for 1980 yen, as well as bundled with 5 limited art pieces in B5 size for 3630 yen. It will have a total of 216 pages and is slated for a January 2022 release.
The Rockman 11 (Mega Man 11) manga was previously published in Corocoro Aniki that was released on September 2018. The 2-chapter Shooting Star Rockman 3 (Mega Man Star Force 3) manga were previously published in CoroCoro Comics that were released on December 2008 and January 2009. While Rockman 11 had a limited digital distribution after the print release, Shooting Star Rockman 3 has not been reprinted since 2009.
Ryo Takamisaki’s Rockman EXE manga (called MegaMan NT Warrior in Viz Media’s English translation), initially ended in 2006. Starting in 2016, new special chapters of the series have sporadically come out bundled with re-releases of older EXE content.
Fukkan is a website that has been known to reissue older Japanese books with high requested demand from fans. They have reprinted a number of Rockman books including Rockman EXE no Subete and the Shooting Star Rockman Official Complete Works.
