At Spielwarenmesse 2026 (Nuremberg International Toy Fair), toy company Blokees has revealed their upcoming Mega Man model kit line. This first reveal showcase includes Champion Class Shooting Star Mega Man! However, it won’t be Mega Man’s normal look, and appears to be a new design mixing together elements from his original and Star Force 3! Pictures of the prototype can be seen below.
Mega Man will be added to the many IPs Blokees has picked up, which includes Transformers, Saint Seiya, Marvel and Kamen Rider. It’s not confirmed how tall Mega Man will be, but their previous Champion Class figures vary around 4.92 inches tall (12.5cm) and 6 inches tall (15 cm).
Mega Man Legends Timelines #1 CVR D (final version)
When Udon’s Mega Man Legends Timelines #1 dropped on shelves this week, fans were given a surprise… The CVR D variation of the book had its cover modified to feature MegaMan.EXE and Star Force Mega Man! What does this mean? They weren’t part of Udon’s reveal line-up for their new Mega Man comics.
Originally the Legends cover, the Transformers homage cover, was supposed to be: it comes out and people, like, “Wait, why are these guys on the cover? Are they allowed to do that?” And yes, we are.
Capcom asked us last year, “Do you guys have any plans for Battle Network?” And we kind of told them, “We thought we weren’t allowed to do those.” They’re like, “No, you can do them now. That was just back in the day. So you can do those, too.” Battle Network and Star Force, so okay, great!
Regarding the cover and its sudden art change:
It (the cover) was drawn that way when Josh Perez drew it last spring (…) We drew that way back in the spring of 2025.
(…)
The story is really just like I said. We’re submitting comics and outlines and stuff, and Capcom just asked us, like, “Are we going to be seeing some Battle Network stuff?” Like I said, I didn’t think we were allowed! And they said, “No, no, no. We want to see you guys do some Battle Network stuff, too.” Like okay, awesome!
I think back in the day… So when we did the Mega Man Tribute book (…) We were told back then, specifically, we couldn’t use Battle Network and Star Force. That’s probably ‘cause the anime and manga people probably had merchandise rights built in. Like maybe they controlled that or partly controlled that. So we couldn’t include them back then, but it seems to be that’s a long time ago and it’s totally fine now. Capcom seems to have full control of it.
Moylan also states that the upcoming FCBD 2026 issue will be written by David Oxford and will be 8 pages. Also upcoming, a different future Mega Man Battle Network one-shot in the works by a “big name”. As for Mega Man Star Force, nothing else has been said regarding it.
The stated license issue has been said to prevent other publishers, such as Archie Comics, to use the characters in any way as well. As shown in their final issue of the comic, with EXE and Star Force cameos obscured completely in black. However, it seems enough time has elapsed where this is no longer a problem. A new era is upon us!
UPDATE: It has been confirmed the bonus Mega Man Battle Network story’s author is David Oxford! Source: Bleeding Cool
For the US annual event, Free Comic Book Day, Udon Entertainment will be releasing a special issue: Mega Man Showdown Special #1….. and surprisingly, it will include a bonus story featuring Mega Man Battle Network!
Currently, no additional info for the story is available. You can head to your local participating comic book store on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 for the free copy!
MEGA MAN SHOWDOWN SPECIAL #1
(W) Daniel Arseneault (A) Mic Fong, Jeffrey Cruz (CA) Jeffrey Cruz
It’s Proto Man versus Bass! Two of Mega Man’s greatest rivals (or… are they allies?) come to blows! Which robot will walk away in one piece? PLUS – a bonus story set in the digital world of Mega Man Battle Network!
On today’s Capcom TV stream, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection was demoed with a newer build than what’s been shown in previous presentations. Let’s take a look at some of the new details and differences.
First of all, the Main Menu (featuring 3D Mega Man) has seen some slight updates. The 3D model of Mega Man has seen some small shader and lighting improvements, and a typo on the ‘Network Battle’ button has been fixed.
Left = TGS 2025 build, right = December 2025 build
Next are the settings menu. While the existing settings have not changed, there is now a scroll bar added to the difficulty settings screen, indicating the existence of at least one more difficulty setting that has not yet been revealed. In addition, the ‘EX boss location display’ has been renamed to EX/V2, confirming that it will also work in Mega Man Star Force 3.
We also got a new look at the Gallery. The Gallery consists of 5 sections: Art, Music, Battle Cards, Bonus Cards, and Awards. The Battle Cards section, which has not been shown before, lets you view the high resolution arework for every Battle Card in the series. The Awards section was not shown, but may be related to achievements.
Finally, some gameplay was shown with the hosts playing through the School Comp stage in MMSF1, making use of the new free camera feature to get a better look at the map. After stumbling through various 5th grade homework questions, this segment culminated in a boss fight against Libra Scales.
On the top screen, a new button to change Brothers can be seen; since the collection allows you to have up to 100 Brothers, this function allows you to choose which 6 of them to gain Link Abilities from in-game.
The Items screen has seen a small change from the original DS version, as the position of Mega Man’s HP and the button legend has been swapped. It’s not clear why this was done, as the HP display was at the bottom in all three original games.
We also have further confirmation that the in-game character portraits, which previously used upscaled pixel art, are being replaced with high resolution assets! In this gameplay footage, we can see Geo, Sonia, Mega Man, Omega-Xis, Libra, Libra Scales, and even the quiz waves all have updated portraits now, complete with animations.
Finally, for the first time since the original announce trailer, we can hear the newly added voice acting in battles for MMSF1! At the start of battle, and whenever Mega Man uses an Attack Card, it plays a brief random voice clip.
Multiple online retailers have listed a MegaMan.EXE figure under Banpresto’sGrandista line. This non-articulated statue is sized at 24cm and is set to come out somewhere between April and June of 2026. The price seems to differ between stores but Big Bad Toy Store has listed it at $33.99 US, so that should be the average price.
To promote the upcoming release of Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, Capcom is uploading the original 2006 Mega Man Star Force anime to YouTube for a limited time.
Both the Japanese and English versions will be uploaded, though the English anime is much shorter than the Japanese version and ends after the first season. Each version has its own release schedule and availability period, with the Japanese episodes being available for a more limited time–likely because the series is also on Japanese streaming services.
Following yesterday’s release date announcement (it’s March 27, 2026!), Capcom has released a new trailer for Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection with an extended look at some of the new features in the collection, as well as pricing and pre-order bonuses.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection will launch at a price point of $39.99 USD / $49.99 CAD / €39.99 / ¥4990 / £32.99.
Pre-ordering the game on digital storefronts will net you two additional character models for the Main Menu. Both are fully dubbed in English as well.
Geo Stelar (Casual Wear)
Omega-Xis
In addition, you’ll get four extra music arrangements in the Music Player:
Loneliness – Summer Shade Version
Astro Wave – Brilliant Expanse Version
Anthem of the Solitary – Howling Void Version
Cheerful Indoors – School Days Version
Capcom notes that pre-order bonuses may also be available for the physical version depending on the retailer, though no English physical version has been announced at this time. Update: English physical releases for Switch and PS5 are now going up at various North American retailers.
In addition, the game’s official website has been updated with some new screenshots and character bios, giving us a good look at the Online menus in English.
Tucked away in one of the screenshots is a detail that’s easy to miss, but has big implications. Whereas in previous screenshots and demos, Capcom used AI-upscaled pixel art for the character portraits, it seems they’ve now been replaced with high resolution artwork! You can see a comparison of Geo’s portrait below. The new portrait seems to be based on the original artwork previously seen in Mega Man Star Force Official Complete Works.
A small update for Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection! Announced via PlayStation UK on Twitter (update: the tweet has since been deleted), the upcoming collection will release on March 27, 2026. That’s only slightly more than 3 months away!
With more players getting hands-on time with the TGS2025 Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection demo, we have even more details trickling in about the new features and changes in this collection. Additionally, Capcom hosted a Special Stage live stream with some surprising announcements. Here’s what’s new:
During the stage show, it was revealed that the previously-announced Arranged BGM option will feature arranged versions of every single song in the games’ soundtracks!
The Star Force Legacy Collection will add a much-requested Auto-Save feature.
There is now a new screen after you press CONTINUE on the Title Screen where you can select a save file to load. In the stage show, this screen only had a single save file labeled “Manual Save”, but it seems likely that more save files could be shown (such as an auto-save).
More changes to remove the need for touch controls: the bull minigame in Taurus Fire’s stage, Truck Comp, now uses the ABXY Buttons.
The director for Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is revealed to be Koji Oda, who previously directed Mega Man 11.
The stage show featured several messages of support from Mega Man Star Force development staff, including Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection director Koji Oda, Mega Man Star Force 2 director Masakazu Eguchi, Mega Man Star Force series director Masahiro Yasuma, and Mega Man Star Force series illustrator Shinsuke Komaki. The latter even included a brand-new piece of artwork to celebrate the announcement of the Legacy Collection!

Tokyo Game Show 2025 has kicked off, and with it, people’s first impressions with the hands-on demo of Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection are starting to come in.
A big thank you to our friend Race, who played the demo and shared his observations! We’ve included some of his photos in this post with his permission. Note that these are off-screen photos, so the appearance may vary when playing on your own device.
Just like Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, the main menu screen for Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection will feature a 3D Mega Man. He will do some animations if you leave the game idle, and pressing LB triggers some random dialogue between Geo and Mega.
There are various screen layout options available:
Both screens stacked vertically, with the active screen shown larger.
Both screens shown side-by-side, with the active screen shown larger.
The active screen shown in the center, with the inactive screen small and off to the side.
Both screens rotated 90 degrees, aka ‘tate mode’. This allows you to play the game using a rotated display or a Flip Grip with the original DS screen layout.
The game selection screen allows you to choose from each game version, with MMSF2 still bundled as Zerker x Ninja and Zerker x Saurian. The screen has placeholder stars for each game version, with MMSF2’s dual versions having two stars each, so this likely tracks which games you have completed.
For MMSF1, the intro cutscene has been reworked for a single screen.
In MMSF1, the On Air option has been removed from the Transer menu.
Pulsing into things in MMSF1 has been reworked to remove the need for touch controls. Pressing the Y Button allows you to choose from the available targets on screen, and pressing the A Button will then pulse into that target.
The free camera option lets you view basically the whole map without having to move Geo.
In MMSF1, you can no longer design your own Face Pic for your Brother profile. Instead, you can now choose from any of the character portraits used across all three games, including many variations such as Mega Man’s various forms.
