HD version of Rockman EXE the Movie available on YouTube for a limited time

Capcom has uploaded the anime movie, Rockman EXE the Movie: Programs of Light and Darkness on their YouTube channel. As a surprise, the movie has been remastered in HD! The movie has yet to be available on other streaming sites or have a Blu-ray release, making this the first time it is available in native HD resolution. The movie is in Japanese with no subtitles. It can be watched for a limited time here, until May 31st.

Capcom has also been uploading the entire Japanese anime series (also no subtitles) on the same channel, they are currently up to the 4th season, Rockman EXE Beast. The playlist can be found here, and like the movie they are limited until May 31st.

To commemorate the upload, the Rockman-Unity Twitter has some short messages from Ucchy and Masakazu Eguchi. During the live watch, they also gave a look at some of the production material for the movie.

  1. I can’t believe Capcom would have the nerve to have their episodes in a limited time! How dare they?!

    1. I’m betting it’s to give a reasonable time to gauge the popularity of the series/movie. If you give a limited time for ppl to go look then ppl are less likely to wait until later and you get a better idea of who wants to watch.

Hopefully this would lead to a good effort being put into a bluray release. Dubs, subs, extra material, etc.
