With more players getting hands-on time with the TGS2025 Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection demo, we have even more details trickling in about the new features and changes in this collection. Additionally, Capcom hosted a Special Stage live stream with some surprising announcements. Here’s what’s new:
- During the stage show, it was revealed that the previously-announced Arranged BGM option will feature arranged versions of every single song in the games’ soundtracks!
- The Star Force Legacy Collection will add a much-requested Auto-Save feature.
- There is now a new screen after you press CONTINUE on the Title Screen where you can select a save file to load. In the stage show, this screen only had a single save file labeled “Manual Save”, but it seems likely that more save files could be shown (such as an auto-save).
- More changes to remove the need for touch controls: the bull minigame in Taurus Fire’s stage, Truck Comp, now uses the ABXY Buttons.
- The director for Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is revealed to be Koji Oda, who previously directed Mega Man 11.
- The stage show featured several messages of support from Mega Man Star Force development staff, including Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection director Koji Oda, Mega Man Star Force 2 director Masakazu Eguchi, Mega Man Star Force series director Masahiro Yasuma, and Mega Man Star Force series illustrator Shinsuke Komaki. The latter even included a brand-new piece of artwork to celebrate the announcement of the Legacy Collection!
