The Brother Band is a system in Mega Man Star Force 3. Gaining Brother Bands and do certain tasks will increase Link Power, which will allow Mega Man to equip more Abilities.
A player can have a maximum of 1900 LP if they do every method to completion. Since Rogue Noise requires having zero Brother Bands, its maximum is 900 LP, or 1020 LP if the "VS Match with Brother" method is maxed out before getting Rogue Noise.

Brother Band Stats
Here are the different methods to boost Link Power and how to maximize them.
In-game Brothers
Geo will perform Brother Bands and gain Link Power through the story and from doing character help quests. The total from completing every task is +900 LP.

Brother with other Games
These are the effects given from Real Brother Bands. When connecting with a Real Brother, the following data will the shared:
- Additional Link Power will be given to the Brother.
- The Records for R bosses are shared, the lowest time among the Brothers will determine the attack power of the Galaxy Advance (GA) card.
- If you are on the same Team as the Brother (can be manually selected in Profile after clearing the story), extra Link Power will be given.
- In the Japanese version, Brothers on the same Team will have their Purpose Card effects shared and stacked up.
- In the Japanese version, extra profile data will fill in special flavor text throughout the game. This feature is removed in the English version.
The LP given to a Brother is dependent on the player's progress. The maximum is +130 LP for each player (up to 6 Brother Bands), so the total from this method is +780 LP.

Form Team with Brother
Additionally to being Brothers, if the player is also in the same Team, more LP will also be added. The more Brothers there are on the Team, the more LP (40+10x LP). If all 6 Brothers are on the same team as you, it is an extra +100 LP boost.

VS Match with Brother
Every time a battle is done with a Brother, +1 LP will be added to both player's own count. They are a permanent addition and will remain even if the Brother is deleted. 120 matches is required to max out the LP count for this method, for a total of +120 LP.
- If the battle done against a Brother is using the Battle Mate option, it will not count and will not increase Link Power.

Brother Card
If a Brother Card appears in the Custom Screen, and one of two options can be selected.
- Perform Multi-Noise.
- Roll a roulette. A Battle Card from a pool will be randomly selected for the player's use.
- The pool consists of the Brother's White Card set (4 cards), 1 random Mega Class Card from their equipped Folder, and 1 random Giga Class Card from their equipped Folder. If they only have 1 Mega or Giga Class Card, it will be narrowed down to that card.
- If the Brother has yet to have a White Card set in their Folder, a roulette of Cannon, AirSpread1, Sword, and Recover30 will be added. It is impossible to only have Mega and Giga in the roulette.
Opponent Noise
After beating another player in VS Match, you'll be given a chance to get an Opponent Noise Key Item (up to 8 Key Items at a time) and can be equipped in the Brother Band slot. It works similar to a Real Brother with some restrictions:
- Cannot view profile.
- Cannot form a Team.
- No Link Power boost.
- Multi-Noise is possible.
- The roulette will only have the White Card set with no Mega or Giga cards.
Battle Card Database
Japanese version only. A special Access Port can put into the Brother Band slot instead. When added to the Folder and selected in battle, a set of 6 cards will be added to the player’s Custom Screen for that battle. Different Access Ports can be added depending on how it's leveled up. Up to 3 Access Ports of different names can added in the Brother Band slots.
- Rogue Noise can use the Access Port too. Since he can't use Brother slots, the Access Ports will give the slots some use.
