Mega Man Battle Network

Chip Commands in Multiple Games

VariableSword (MMBN 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6)

Hold A and press for:

Long Sword	Down, Down-right, Right
Wide Sword	Up, Right, Down
Fighter Sword	Left, Down-left, Down, Down-right, Right
Life Sword	Down, Left, Up, Right, Down
Sonic Boom	Left, B, Right, B
Elemental Sonic Boom (MMBN3 Only)	B, B, Left, Down, Up

NeoVariable (MMBN 4, 5, & 6)

Hold A and press for:

Cross Sword	Down, Right, Up
Super Sonic Boom	Left, Right, Left, B
Double Life Sword	Up, B, Down, B, Up, B

SearchMan (MMBN 4 & 5)

Press A + B when targeting an enemy to destroy their chips.

ShadeMan (MMBN 4 & 5)

Before ShadeMan attacks, press to:

Paralyze	Down, Down-Right, Right + A
Confuse	Down, Down-Left, Left + A

Z Saver (MMBN 4 & 5)

After third slash, press Left + B for a Super Sonic Boom. (This also works for BN6's Zero Mod Card that gives it as a Charge Shot)

Mega Man Battle Network 2

BronzeFist

Hold A and press Down, Down-right, Right for a Rocket Punch.

SilverFist

Hold A and press Right, Up, Left, Down, Right for a Rocket Punch in each row.

GoldFist

Hold A and press B, Down-Right, Right, B for 3 Rocket Punch.

Mega Man Battle Network 3

GutsPunch

Hold A and press Down, Down-Right, Right for a Rocket Guts Punch.

GutsStraight

Hold A and press B, B, Down, Left, Right, B for 3 Rocket Guts Punch.

GutsImpact

Hold A and press Left, B, Down, B, Down, B for a 5-hit attack.

BeastMan

Press A or B while a claw or BeastMan's head is on a panel to do an extra hit to that panel. Can be done multiple times on the same panel. Alternate A and B for better results. With frame-perfect timing, up to 14 hits can be done to a single enemy.

DesertMan

When his hands appear, press Down-right + A or Up-Right + A to change one of the attack's direction.

FlameMan

1) Press Up or Down on the D-pad to control the trajectory of the flames.

2) Hold down B and press Up, Right, or Down to spread the flames in the two columns after the first one.

Press Up to spread flames to the rows above FlameMan.

Press Right to spread flames in the row that FlameMan is in.

Press Down to spread flames to the rows below FlameMan.

Press Up, Right, or Down once creates one column of flames and pressing them twice creates two columns, but pressing the same direction twice in a row is not registered. For an easy full spread, simply hold B and rotate the D-pad.

MetalMan

Before MetalMan attacks, hold A to change his position.

JapanMan

While JapanMan is doing his rapid slashes, quickly press A and B alternating, starting with A.

After the initial 3 slashes, JapanMan will do 1 extra slash if 6 or 7 buttons were pressed, or 2 extra slashes if 8 or more buttons were pressed. Then, if 3 or more buttons were pressed during the extra slashes, JapanMan will tack on 1 extra hit before the final extending spear attack, for a maximum of 7 total hits.

Punk

These can only be activated after obtaining Famous' Wristband.

Mad Roller	Default move without Wristband.
Mad Wave Roller	Default move after obtaining Wristband.
Shield & Chain	Before Punk attacks, press Left + B.
Punk Chain	Hold your Charge Shot and position yourself on the middle of your back-most column, then use the chip.
Double Go-Round	Same as Punk Chain but before Punk attacks, press Down, Right, Down, Right.

Mega Man Battle Network 4

FireMan

Before FireMan attacks, press Down, Right. FireMan will make Lava Panels with his Fire Arm.

WoodMan

Press A + B + Down for an extra set of Wood Towers.

LaserMan

Hold A and press a direction to:

Reduce opponent Buster Stats to 1	Up
Remove opponent Navi Customizer Programs	Down
Remove a chip slot in opponent Custom Window	Left
Remove opponent ability to do Charge Shots	Right

Mega Man Battle Network 5

GyroMan

Hold L + R and GyroMan will focus his attacks on only one enemy.

Colonel

Before Colonel attacks, press Left + B to flip the direction of the diagonal slash.

LarkMan

Before LarkMan attacks, press Up, Right, Down to pierce through opponent's barrier or aura.

CrossDivide (JP Only?)

Before Colonel attacks, press Left + B for the attack to pierce through opponent's barrier or aura.

Mega Man Battle Network 6

SlashMan

When kunais appear, hold B for them to auto-target.

Django

While Django rides down, press L, L, L, A for him to do an sword attack after.

Mega Man Star Force

DoubleStone (MMSF 2 & 3 )

Press a direction to change the placement of the Stones.

AcidAce (MMSF 3)

Press A ONCE during the first slash to perform a second slash.

WingBlade (MMSF 3)

Before Acid Ace attacks, press to use:

Sword Attack	L, L, R
Acid Blaster	R, R, L
