Glitches in Mega Man Star Force 2

From The Rockman EXE Zone Wiki

This page is a list of glitches that appear in Mega Man Star Force 2.

Major glitches

Boreal Help Textbox error

In the English localization for Aaron Boreal's Star Carrier quest, there is an error in the textbox and gives the wrong task. When Boreal says "You can have this "Recover150"!", what he is really doing is asking you to give him a Recover150 card. Once you have a Recover150, you can finish the quest.

In the Legacy Collection, the error has been corrected and now his line is “Now for the last piece! Could you bring me a “Recover 150”?”.

Element Weakness Multiplier oversight

In this game’s VS Match, when Mega Man is in a form and receives weakness damage, he’ll lose the form and only take x1 damage. However, if Mega Man is frozen and he’s hit with weakness from a break attack with an element, it’ll do x3 damage instead of the intended x2.

Minor glitches

AttackPanel texture glitch

Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination

In MMSF2, the game has two different sets of battlefield textures: for EM Wave Spaces (gray panels), and for EM Wave Roads (yellow panels with gaps between the columns). However, when you use the AttackPanel Battle Card in a single-player battle on an EM Wave Road, the game will use the AttackPanel texture for EM Wave Spaces instead. In a VS Match, the game does use the correct texture.

Trans Dimension pulse out quirk

This section is under construction.
The information may not be complete or 100% accurate.

When you pulse in and exit an alternate area’s EM Space, then you go to a Trans Dimension area and attempt to pulse out, you will end up pulsing out to the last ES pulse in point. Attempting to pulse out again will take you out of the Wave World.

This affects:

  • Broken Display ES
  • Whazzap Maiden ES
  • Stuck Windmill ES

Lampis Flash quirk

While the screen is flashed white while Lampis is attacking; if a dimming animation with a white screen flash is used (going Tribe King or LeMu card), it won't flash the screen and make the animation strange.

Disappearing Field Screen HUD

In Chapter 6, the cutscene after fighting Harp Note will have the field screen head upper display disappear when it should not (Mega Man’s HP). The HUD will return once there is a screen transition like going into battle or menu.
