Happy new year from The Rockman EXE Zone staff! Here’s a quick breakdown on whatever news has popped up regarding the Battle Network series (Sorry, Star Force fans!).

Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge have hit on the Wii U worldwide! Meanwhile at the moment, Rockman EXE 2 and both versions of Rockman EXE 3 are remaining Japanese release only. The aforementioned games have been modified so 100% completion without the need of another game. All information regarding the Wii U Virtual Console release of the games can be found here.

Following the release of the ports are some members of the development team doing a retrospective on their work in the series! These interviews are only available in Japanese at the moment.

The Capcom Special Selection: Rockman EXE was also released! The set comes with select music pieces from the series and an artbook with never-before-seen concept arts. The item was only available to order on e-capcom and is now out of stock. The only way to obtain it now is through peer to peer sales.

Fan-Work Spotlight!!

Mega Man Battle Network Chrono X – The “most progressive” Battle Network fangame! Announced a few updates in the last year that includes Online Play soon to be playable.

Shanghai EXE Genso Network – A Touhou fangame reimagining the Touhou characters in a Battle Network-esque universe! The most recent playable demo was updated December 2014. This game is Japanese only.
